Kick off the Holiday Season with The Phoenix Symphony
Humperdinck's Hansel & Gretel is fun for the whole family
(PHOENIX) – Follow Hansel & Gretel's trail of crumbs to Symphony Hall as Music Director Michael Christie and The Phoenix Symphony present this timeless classic, November 24 – 26.
This enchanting adaptation of the familiar Grimm Brothers fairytale is a festive celebration of music and dance for all ages. The production will be semi-staged, complete with Hansel, Gretel, a gingerbread house, vocal soloists and an appearance by the remarkable Phoenix Boys Choir. And of course, there couldn't be a fairytale without a witch! This concert opera performance will be sung in German with English subtitles.
Tickets for The Phoenix Symphony's performance are currently on sale. Friday's and Saturday's concert begin at 8:00 pm and Sunday's concert begins at 2 pm at Symphony Hall, in downtown Phoenix.
