Diane Sullivan is a member of the second violin section of The Phoenix Symphony. She holds a bachelor's degree in music from Arizona State University, and has studied with such renowned artists as Sidney Harth, Esther Glazer, Raphael Bronstein, Eudice Shapiro and Joseph Silverstein.
Diane appeared in performance as a Fellowship Member of The Boston Symphony at Tanglewood in 1979 for the American premier of Gunther Schuller's DEAI, under the direction of Seiji Ozawa. In 1987, she performed for violinist, Itzhak Perlman, at a Phoenix reception held in his honor. Diane has also appeared as soloist with The Flagstaff Symphony, performing Beethoven's Romance in F to the delight of several audiences.
When she is not performing with The Phoenix Symphony, Diane serves as concertmaster of the Camelback Chamber Orchestra and director of Wheels from Above Ministry at Camelback Bible Church. Her other activities include watercolor painting, doing volunteer work for the American Red Cross.
With the assistance of pianist Walter Cosand, Diane completed a Classical Music CD titled, "Soli Deo Gloria" (to God Alone be the Glory) that is available at the Phoenix Symphony Gift shop. A portion of gift shop sales go to benefit The Phoenix Symphony.
