David Topping
David Topping is an experienced bass-baritone vocal soloist, having appeared as soloist with the Phoenix Symphony; the Lyric Opera Theater of Arizona State University; the Phoenix Chorale (formerly known as the Phoenix Bach Choir); the Sommerakademie J.S. Bach in Stuttgart, Germany, the Pacific Symphony Orchestra, the U.S. Air Force Band and Singing Sergeants, and with numerous choral ensembles, both in the Phoenix area and elsewhere.
His choral and vocal training includes studies at the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, California State University at Fullerton, the Musikhochschule in Frankfurt, Germany, and Arizona State University. Topping holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from California State University at Fullerton and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting from Arizona State. He helped create ChoralNet.org--the primary choral music website and is the Director of Music at Los Arcos United Methodist Church, Scottsdale.
In addition to musical activities, Topping also operates a web design and consulting business (HyperCreations.com) and is the Computer Systems Manager for the Desert Southwest Conference of the United Methodist Church. He resides in Tempe with his wife Jody and has two children, Ryan and Erika.
